![]() ![]() Īlthough the Avoca River has a substantial 12,000-square-kilometre (4,600 sq mi) catchment area, the fifth-largest in Victoria, most of that area is on the northern plains where rainfall averages only about 350 millimetres (14 in) per year, and where there is little runoff because the terrain is very flat. Nowhere a large stream, it dwindles as it flows north, eventually terminating in the Kerang Lakes, a network of ephemeral swamps west of Kerang and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the Murray River. Two major distributaries leave the Avoca River between Charlton and Quambatook: Tyrrell Creek, flowing to Lake Tyrrell, and Lalbert Creek flowing to Lake Lalbert.Īlthough the Avoca River basin is part of the Murray-Darling basin, the Avoca River does not empty into the Murray. It rises at the foot of Mount Lonarch, near the small town of Amphitheatre, and flows north for 270 kilometres (170 mi) joined by thirteen minor tributaries, and through the towns of Avoca, Charlton and Quambatook. The Avoca River drains a substantial part of central Victoria. The headwaters of the Avoca River rise on the northern slopes of the Pyrenees Range and descend to flow into the ephemeral Kerang Lakes. The Avoca River, an inland intermittent river of the north–central catchment, part of the Murray-Darling basin, is located in the lower Riverina bioregion and Central Highlands and Wimmera regions of the Australian state of Victoria. Sandy Creek (Victoria), Brown Hill Creek (Victoria), Fentons Creek (Victoria), Sandy Creek (Victoria), Yeungroon Creek, Mosquito Creek (Victoria) During peak hours there's usually a pretty long wait and having to walk between the two locations is annoying to pick up your order.Glenlogie Creek, Number Two Creek, Mountain Creek (Victoria), Cherry Tree Creek, Smoky Creek, Tarpaulin Creek, Campbell Creek (Victoria) Today there were all kinds of tourists and a big bachelorette party from Texas (welcome to Chicago ladies, thanks for ignoring the quarantine order). ![]() I'd rather go to a less busy location since i'm a local resident where I can get in and out and not be around so many people during the pandemic. To their credit they were responsive, they don't have as much "vendor swag" laying around and I haven't seen them staging anybody in the booths anymore, everyone stands. I mentioned on my way out that I thought that the set up was not hygienic and a little irresponsible given what was going on at the time. Everyone was touching the same 5-10 peices of paper over and over. Then the staff would have us rotate booths while we were in line. They had literature and samples (non thc gummy candies) all over each table and people were touching them.reading it.putting it back in the pile.eating the candy. I regularly shop at Sunnyside in River North and the way they have it set up with all the wait times and having to walk between the locations is extremely inconvenient.Īlso during covid they would have everyone sit at the booths in what used to be Rockit. Good I will check them out next time I need more product. UPDATE 2: they’re finally allowed to reopen, and will do so today (8/20) □□ UPDATE: Due to permit issues, the city shut them down today 7/17. I’m a medical cardholder so I’ll probably stay with my med shops, but this could be a nice spot for a quick downtown pickup if I’m in the area. Other than that, prices were higher than I’m used to as it is Rec-only, but selection was great. Nice vibe, staff was cracking jokes, seemed to be having a good time. There was only one other customer while I was there- could have been the time of day (late afternoon), or just that downtown is pretty empty this summer compared to normal times.įriendly team members. Clear flow through the building (leave through a different door than you entered through). Clean design, open feel, lots of glass more professional than the Logan Square location. Plenty of sanitizer and everyone was masked and gloved. Showed my ID a total of five times, and went through four doors between between the street and pickup counter. Same distinctive curved-metal security grille as Logan Square location clear signage. I stopped by the new MoCa on Ohio St to check out the scene. ![]()
